REGRESSIE
Following ZUCHT, a first collaboration with Jelle Huizinga, REGRESSIE attempts to strike harmony between space and sound, showing the inside of a mind cursed with the tendency to regress, and the extreme states of being that regression can force an individual into, slipping betweem metaphoric images such as walls of living smoke, the devilish eyes of streetlights in the night, and stroboscopic thunderclouds.
Utilising autotuned hardcore, feedback, heavy drone and soft melodies, and supported by synchronised lighting and smoke, REGRESSIE creates a landscape which both strokes and punishes the viewer, allowing them to come into contact with the eclectic violence of regression.
Premièred on the 26th of September 2024 at Frascati Theatre in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
