CRAVE
In CRAVE, four people each seek something they miss at the brink of their own personal and emotional implosion. It shows the way in which inherent injustice and violence in human nature lead to a fundamental lack of faith in humanity and love can lead to blinding and crippling disassociation, forcing individuals to recalibrate their understanding and expectations of being alive. Crushed by trauma and surrounded by banal beauty and lost memories of intimacy and tenderness, CRAVE shows us four people screaming at the foot of their grave. Utilising backlit video, silhouettes, shadows, long and unnerving silences and harsh, bare lighting, existential struggle is shown within a cosmic context, in which the individual - their body and mind destroyed - is forced to disassociate and transcend.
